Voice notes and Recap my day

Talk after a visit the way you would to a coworker. LASSO writes the note and lists what to do next, and you check every item before it saves.

A voice note turns a minute of talking into a logged visit or call, a follow-up, and the next steps you mentioned. Nothing changes in your records until you review it and tap save.

Where the mic is

  • Add (the plus sign on a phone), then Voice note. You pick the account or lead when you review it.
  • On an account page, tap Voice note.
  • On the Leads page, tap the mic on an open lead.
  • On the stop list, tap the mic on any stop.
  • On Today, the mic on the Next best action card.
  • After you tap Done on an account stop, pick Voice note.
  • In meeting prep, tap Log how it went.
  • On a business you found with Find leads, tap Voice note. LASSO keeps it as a lead first, since notes live on accounts and leads.

Record a note

  1. Tap the mic, then tap Tap to record. Allow the microphone the first time your phone asks.
  2. Talk it through: who you saw, what they need, and what happens next. Say a day and time if you set a meeting, and say the dollar amount if you talked price.
  3. Tap Tap to stop. A note can run up to about 10 minutes.
  4. Wait while LASSO says "Listening and writing it up."

You can also tap Or pick a recording to use a voice memo you already made.

Check what LASSO proposes

The review screen shows the note LASSO wrote and everything it heard you say you would do.

  1. If you started from Add, pick the account or lead in Save it on. LASSO picks one for you when it recognizes the company you named.
  2. Check What was it? (Visit, Call, Meeting or Note), the Title and the Note. Edit anything.
  3. If you mentioned a next step, Add a follow-up is ticked with the text and a due date. Change them, or untick it.
  4. Under LASSO heard, each proposed action is its own ticked row. Untick anything you do not want, and edit the fields on the rest. The actions it can propose:
    • Add a deal, with the type of work, name, amount, stage and expected close. If you did not say an amount, the field is empty: type one or untick the row.
    • Set a meeting, only when you said both a day and a time.
    • Add to the stop list for a day.
    • Update the account, such as a new phone, website, address or facility type.
    • Mark as top customer or Remove from top customers.
    • Add a contact for each new person you named.
  5. Open What you said to read the transcript or play the recording.
  6. Tap Save and do these (or Save note when there are no actions). Discard throws it away.

LASSO tells you what it did, and names anything it could not do.

Recap my day

Instead of a note after every stop, record one recap at the end of the day. LASSO splits it into a note per company.

  1. On Today, tap Recap my day.
  2. Run through the day: who you saw, what each one needs, and what happens next. Name each company as you go.
  3. Tap Tap to stop and wait while LASSO splits it up by company.
  4. Review each block. The heading shows the company you named, with Account match, Lead match or No match.
  5. In each block, check Save it on. Pick the right account or lead, or leave it on Skip this one to save nothing for that company.
  6. Check the note, the follow-up and the action rows in each block, the same way as a single note.
  7. Tap Save. The button shows how many notes will be saved.

A recap can cover up to 12 companies. Each one saved updates that account's or lead's last touch.

Tips for a clean note

  • Say the company name early, especially when you record from Add or Recap my day.
  • Say dates plainly: "Follow up next Tuesday," "Meet Thursday at 2."
  • Say amounts only when they were discussed. LASSO does not guess them.
