The short version
Both put your accounts on a map and plan the day. LASSO starts earlier, by finding the buildings worth a visit.
Badger Maps calls itself a "route planner for outside sales and field teams" (badgermapping.com). Its site says it combines route planning, sales mapping, CRM integration and AI automation in one mobile-first platform.
LASSO is for commercial trades whose buyers run buildings: property managers, facilities directors, hotel general managers and senior living administrators. It finds and scores those buildings near your rep, then runs the day from the first knock to the PM contract.
Side by side
The LASSO column comes from the product. The Badger Maps column comes only from badgermapping.com, checked October 8, 2026.
| What you need | LASSO | Badger Maps |
|---|---|---|
| Find commercial buildings near you | Pick a radius and building types (property managers, apartments, hotels, senior living, medical, offices, schools and more). LASSO pulls Google listings, scores each building and labels every reason measured or a sign. | Lead Generation finds places on your map by keyword, such as "dentist" or "manufacturing," and shows their details. |
| Know who is complaining about the building | Reads the last 30 Google reviews and quotes complaints about heat, air, hot water, plumbing or power, with the review date. | Not listed on badgermapping.com |
| Free public lists for your territory | State licensing lists for senior living and medical, CMS nursing homes, HUD multifamily and county property records, loaded for your states when we set up your company. | Not listed on badgermapping.com |
| Skip national brands, find the operator | National brands are marked down. Buildings run by one operator are grouped so a rep can keep them all at once. | Not listed on badgermapping.com |
| What to say at a building you have never visited | AI writes an opener, two or three points, an ask and a line to avoid, from measured facts only. | Lists a meeting brief that pulls from your CRM, the news and any source you connect. |
| Log a visit by voice | One voice note becomes a note, a deal, a meeting, a stop and new contacts. Each is a checked row the rep can untick or edit before it saves. | Voice-to-Text fills fields and records as you speak, and the home page lists Voice-to-CRM. |
| Log the whole day at once | Recap my day: one recording about the day, split by company and matched to your accounts and open leads, each with its own follow-up. | Not listed on badgermapping.com |
| Capture business cards | Scan one card or a stack. One photo can hold several cards, and each gets its own row to review before saving. | A business card scanner fills in a record's fields from a photo. |
| A leave-behind that brings them back | Print a QR code for one building or a stack of leave-behinds. A scan opens a form with your brand that takes the request and lets them pick a time from the rep's open slots. | Not listed on badgermapping.com |
| Stops that respect business hours | Stops from a Google listing show hours like "Open until 5 PM." Optimize keeps stops inside their hours and puts one closing within two hours first. | Shows a generated lead's hours of operation. Ordering a route by business hours is not listed on badgermapping.com. |
| Your brand in front of customers | Your own LASSO address, logo and colors, and your words for deal types and stages. The QR form customers see carries your brand. | Not listed on badgermapping.com |
Where LASSO fits best
LASSO's building scoring was built alongside a commercial mechanical, electrical and plumbing contractor that sells preventative maintenance contracts. That is the work it fits best.
Sample data
Switching
Most teams start from a spreadsheet of accounts and contacts.
Your own LASSO address, logo and colors, your words for deal types and stages, your dropdowns, and a login for each rep and manager.
LASSO reads .xlsx, .xls and .csv files, several tabs at once, up to 3,000 rows. Rows for one company become one account with its contacts, last contact dates carry over, and next follow-up dates become follow-ups. An import only fills blanks, never overwrites, and can be undone.
Salesforce is an optional add-on, set up and tested with your Salesforce admin during onboarding. Accounts, contacts and opportunities sync both ways; leads and activity go to Salesforce.
LASSO runs in the browser on any phone or computer and installs to the home screen. Android and iPhone apps are in testing.
Questions
If your reps sell service, repairs or PM contracts to buildings, LASSO was built for that work. It finds and scores buildings near the rep, then handles the stop list, door outcomes, voice notes and follow-ups. A demo with your own area is the fastest way to see if it fits.
Yes. Optimize orders the day's stops by distance from where you stand, keeps stops inside their business hours, then hands the route to Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze for driving directions.
Yes, from a spreadsheet. LASSO imports Excel and CSV files with column mapping, turns rows for one company into one account with its contacts, and only fills blanks. If you use Salesforce, the optional add-on is set up and tested with your admin during onboarding.
We read Badger Maps' public website and help center on October 8, 2026 and listed the pages under Sources. When something is not on their site, the table says "Not listed on badgermapping.com", which does not mean Badger Maps cannot do it. Check with Badger Maps for current details.
